At NTSPL, we believe that strong teams are built through shared experiences, meaningful connections, and moments of joy beyond the workplace. Our three-day office outing to Barikul Resort, Chilika, from 17th to 19th January 2026, was a perfect blend of relaxation, fun, culture, and team bonding, a journey that truly strengthened our NTSPL family.
Day 1: A Joyful Beginning, Traditional Welcome & Bonfire Evening.
17 January 2026
The journey began early morning from Bhubaneswar, filled with excitement and positive energy. Traveling together in a traveller, enjoying music and laughter, made the journey lively and memorable.
We stopped at Gopaluni, Khordha, for a delightful breakfast before continuing towards our destination. After around 2–3 hours, we arrived at Barikul Resort, where we were welcomed in a traditional Odia style, with Ghanta, Shankha, flowers, chandan, and refreshing buttermilk. The warm welcome instantly set a relaxed and cheerful mood.
Bamboo Cottages & Nature’s Beauty.
Our stay in eco-friendly bamboo cottages offered a truly unique experience. The bamboo furniture and traditional design created a calm, ancient vibe, while the balcony views opened up to lush greenery, a perfect escape into nature.
After enjoying a snacks hamper, the team engaged in a friendly cricket match, filled with laughter, teamwork, and energetic moments.
Pool Fun, Delicious Food & Bonfire Night.
Later, we relaxed at the swimming pool, where swimmers guided non-swimmers, creating a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
Lunch was served with home-style flavors, from soup to main course and dessert, each dish was delightful.
In the evening, the team enjoyed engaging activities like:
- Caterpillar Game
- Guess the Snacks
- Human Knot
- Musical Chairs
As night fell, we gathered around a bonfire, enjoying music, dance, and light refreshments. The warmth of the fire, combined with cheerful conversations and team bonding, made the first evening truly special. The day ended with dinner and a peaceful rest.
Day 2: Team Spirit, Culture, Games & Bonfire Fun.
18 January 2026
The second day began with capturing beautiful moments across the resort, followed by a lavish breakfast offering both Indian and English options.
A friendly cricket match with resort members energized the morning. The highlight of the game was when our Managing Director and HR Head joined the match, creating a strong sense of unity, motivation, and positivity across the team.
Art, Adventure & Evening Celebrations.
After swimming and lunch, we explored the resort’s museum, which displayed:
- Traditional Pattachitra paintings
- Handcrafted jute and copper artwork
- Artifacts reflecting Odisha’s rich cultural heritage
Adventure activities like tyre climbing and rope crossing over the pond added excitement and confidence to the day.
In the evening, the team enjoyed badminton, followed by several HR-planned fun games, including:
- Pop Balloon
- Tug of War
- Dodge Ball
As the night set in, everyone gathered around the bonfire for one of the most enjoyable moments of the trip. Sitting together near the fire, we played the Mystery Box game, which brought laughter, curiosity, and excitement to the group.
Winners were rewarded, and gifts were distributed to all team members, making everyone feel valued and appreciated.
The evening concluded with dinner, followed by late-night conversations, laughter, and unforgettable bonding moments.
Day 3: Nature, Devotion & Grateful Farewell.
19 January 2026
On the final day, after breakfast and packing our bags, we headed towards Chilika Lake. The serene waters and scenic beauty were truly mesmerizing, offering a peaceful connection with nature.
Our next stop was the Tara Tarini Temple, Berhampur. The journey was filled with excitement, and a playful encounter with monkeys added a fun memory to the visit. After patiently waiting, we received darshan and felt spiritually refreshed.
With the blessings of Maa Tara Tarini, we began our return journey to Bhubaneswar, singing, laughing, and cherishing the memories created together.
A Journey That Strengthened the NTSPL Family.
This outing was more than just a trip, it was a celebration of teamwork, trust, and togetherness. Thoughtfully organized by NTSPL under the guidance of our Managing Director, the experience boosted morale, strengthened relationships, and created lasting memories. We look forward to many more such journeys that bring the NTSPL family closer and inspire us to grow, together.
